Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand has been added to the England squad to replace the injured Kieran Gibbs.

England manager Roy Hodgson has added Ryan Bertrand to his England squad after Kieran Gibbs was injured at the weekend.

Gibbs was injured in Arsenal's 3-1 win over West Ham United on Saturday and has been forced to pull out of the World Cup qualifying double-header.

Chelsea defender Bertrand made his debut for England in the 2-1 friendly win over Italy in August and came on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Ukraine last month.

England host San Marino on Friday evening before they play Poland on Tuesday night.
