Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe are named in the starting lineup for Arsenal's EFL Cup last-16 clash with Leeds United on Tuesday night.

Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe have both been named in the starting lineup for Arsenal's EFL Cup last-16 clash with Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Gunners have seen off West Bromwich Albion and AFC Wimbledon to get this far, and Mikel Arteta has opted for a mixture of first-team fixtures and fringe players for the last-16 clash with Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Bernd Leno returns in goal over Aaron Ramsdale - who makes the bench - while Cedric Soares and Sead Kolasinac are given the nods at full-back over Nuno Tavares and Calum Chambers, with Kieran Tierney not involved due to injury.

Ben White partners the returning Rob Holding in defence, while Mohamed Elneny and Ainsley Maitland-Niles form the midfield pairing at the Emirates.

Emile Smith Rowe holds his place in the side alongside Pepe and Martinelli, while Eddie Nketiah is handed the opportunity to lead the line as Folarin Balogun makes the bench.

There is also a spot among the substitutes for 18-year-old starlet Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand, but Charlie Patino is not in the squad due to a reported ankle injury.

Arsenal starting lineup: Leno; Cedric, White, Holding, Kolasinac; Maitland-Niles, Elneny; Pepe, Smith Rowe, Martinelli; Nketiah
