Arsene Wenger: 'Calum Chambers, Gabriel Paulista will be fine'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that his team can cope without Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker for Monday's Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident that his team can cope without the services of first-choice centre-backs Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

Koscielny has been ruled out of Monday's clash against Liverpool with a back problem, while Mertesacker is unwell.

Wenger, however, has full faith in Calum Chambers and Gabriel Paulista, who deputise at the back against Brendan Rodgers's side at the Emirates.

"I believe that Chambers and Gabriel have good quality. I am confident that they will do well," Wenger told Sky Sports News before the match.

Chambers and Paulista are making their first starts of the new campaign.
