Brendan Rodgers has Arsenal gameplan

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists that he is not overly concerned with possession as his side prepare to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Monday.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has called on his team to "dominate the space" in Monday's Premier League clash away to Arsenal.

Rodgers is yet to taste victory against Arsenal during his managerial career, but believes that he has the perfect gameplan for the clash at the Emirates.

The 42-year-old has said that his side's chances of overcoming the Gunners will depend on their ability to "dominate the space" rather than the possession.

"If you assess Arsenal's last 10 games they've lost at home, the teams that have won have averaged four shots on target, with 43% possession," Rodgers told reporters.

"It tells you that you can go there and you don't need to dominate the ball, but you can dominate the space."

Liverpool have taken six points from their first two league games this season.
