Mesut Ozil is set to miss Arsenal's Premier League meeting with West Ham United on Saturday due to illness, according to reports.

Mesut Ozil has reportedly been ruled out of Arsenal's Premier League meeting with West Ham United on Saturday.

The Gunners go into the game on the back of defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea as Unai Emery seeks to pick up his first league points in England.

West Ham will also be looking for their first win of the season after losing against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

According to the Daily Mail, Ozil missed training on Friday due to illness and as such will not be involved in the afternoon kickoff at the Emirates Stadium.

The report also claims that Aaron Ramsey, who is yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners, will look to step up into a starting role.

Ozil has made 198 appearances for Arsenal since his 2013 move from Real Madrid, scoring 37 goals and registering 71 assists.
