Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has said that he is pleased with the response of his team after their 2-1 FA Cup victory over Liverpool yesterday.
Goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski put the Gunners 2-0 up, before Steven Gerrard reduced the deficit with a penalty.
Arsenal were able to hold on though, and Fabianski said it was important after they were "killed" by the Reds in a 5-1 drubbing at Anfield the previous week.
"I'm happy with my performance, but especially I'm happy with the team," the goalkeeper told the club's official website. "We managed to win a really difficult game against a really difficult opponent who basically killed us last week. So a response was important and we did that, so we're all happy.
"It was a short space between the last game and this one, so obviously it's going to stay in our heads and we needed to respond really well.
"I'm just happy that we won, that I helped the team. It could have been a similar story because we started again a bit slow – in the first few minutes they had two really good chances. I managed to help the team in those situations."
Arsenal have been drawn at home against Everton in the quarter-finals.
