Germany forward Lukas Podolski has insisted that retiring from international football has never crossed his mind.
The Arsenal man came off the bench as Germany beat Scotland 2-1 in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday evening.
Philipp Lahm, Per Mertesacker and Miroslav Klose all ended their international careers after Joachim Low's side lifted the World Cup in Brazil this summer, but Podolski says that he has no intention of following them.
"I'm still as hungry as ever," the 29-year-old told Kicker. "My next big goal is the European Championship.
"I still enjoy playing for Germany and it's a pleasure to be part of it all."
Podolski has scored 47 goals in 118 international appearances.
