Arsenal have four days to re-sign Robin van Persie

Desperate Arsenal will have less than four days to secure the long-term future of Robin van Persie before he jets off to Euro 2012.

Arsenal will have a window of less than four days to secure Robin van Persie's long-term future at the club this summer.

The 28-year-old, whose current Gunners contract expires in 2013, had asked to postpone talks over a new deal until the end of season.

The club have agreed to the delay but their final Premier League fixture falls on May 13, four days before Van Persie is due to meet up with the Netherlands squad for a pre-Euro 2012 training camp.

Manager Arsene Wenger said: "It will be sorted at the end of the season, before the Euros."

Arsenal are said to be desperate to retain the player and are planning to offer him a £120,000-per-week four-year deal, according to the Daily Mail.
