The summer transfer window has now closed, with Arsenal pulling off one of the standout deals on deadline day.
The Gunners triggered the release clause of Thomas Partey to cap off a relatively busy summer which saw the likes of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes join too, and attention will now begin to turn to January.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.
Monday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
Arsenal 'could return for Houssem Aouar in January'
Arsenal could reportedly reignite their interest in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar when the January transfer window opens for business.
The Gunners were strongly linked with the Frenchman over the summer but could not come to an agreement with Lyon over a transfer fee and ultimately signed Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
Aouar still has two and a half years left to run on his contract in France, while he has started the 2020-21 campaign in strong form, contributing one goal in five appearances.
Real Madrid and Juventus have also been linked with the central midfielder, and it had been claimed that Arsenal had missed their opportunity to sign him.
However, according to football.london, should the Gunners manage to offload some players and trim their wage budget in January then they could 'test the water with Lyon again'.
The report claims that a new approach for the 22-year-old cannot be ruled out as Mikel Arteta looks to put together a squad capable of challenging for silverware.
Aouar made his debut for France in their friendly with Ukraine earlier this month.
Chelsea's Jorginho says that he was "open" to joining Arsenal
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that he was "open to negotiations" with Arsenal amid rumoured interest from the Gunners during the summer transfer window.
The Italy international was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer, and Arsenal were said to be considering him as an alternative to Lyon's Houssem Aouar.
Mikel Arteta's side ultimately activated Thomas Partey's release clause to sign the Ghana international from Atletico Madrid, but Jorginho has said that he would have been willing to hold discussions with the capital club.
"I believe that every player is open to negotiations," Jorginho told ESPN Brazil.
"So I believe there was something they talked about. And in the end it was decided that I remain here. Now my head is here and we're going to do a great job with Chelsea, which I always wanted to do."
The 28-year-old, who was also linked with Juventus over the summer, has contributed three goals and one assist in six appearances for Frank Lampard's side this season.
