Argentina forward Lionel Messi has revealed that he was pleased his side managed to overcome their nerves to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in their World Cup opener.
Alejandro Sabella's side took an early lead through an own goal from defender Sead Kolasinac, while Messi doubled their advantage in the second half.
A late goal from Vedad Ibisevic gave Safet Susic's side a lifeline, but Argentina held out for the victory.
Messi told reporters: "It was our first game, we are anxious and everything, Bosnia are a good team but we have to do a lot to improve.
"The good thing is we got the three points and off to a winning start."
Argentina are next in action against Iran on Saturday.
