Anzhi Makhachkala director Roberto Carlos reveals a desire to enter the management game.

Anzhi Makhachkala director Roberto Carlos has hinted that he wants to become a manager in the near future.

The 39-year-old, who ended his career at the Russian club, was widely regarded as one of the best left-backs in the world during his playing days.

Despite admitting that he is enjoying his work as a director, the former Real Madrid defender has revealed a desire to become more involved.

"It's great to be a director and take on the responsibilities that come with it, but my business is down there on the touchline. That's what I want," he told fifa.com.

"I've been travelling with the team and working side-by-side with the coaches, but I'm still taking part in training sessions out there on the pitch.

"It's a new life, one that I'm enjoying a lot. We're coming to the end of 2012 though, and I need to get my coaching licence."

Carlos made 125 appearances for Brazil.
