Scottish League Two roundup: East Fife go top after convincing win at Montrose

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's Scottish League Two action as East Fife go top following a 4-1 victory at Montrose.

East Fife have moved to the top of the Scottish League Two after a 4-1 away victory at Montrose.

Gary Fraser put the home side ahead, but Greg Pascazio saw red and the visitors took full advantage as Nathan Austin picked up a hat-trick and Scott Mercer added to the Gable Endies' misery.

Queen's Park are up to second thanks to a 2-1 away win at Stirling Albion, with John Carter and Anthony Ralston cancelling out a Steven Doris goal for the home side.

Annan Athletic, who started the day at the top of the table, drop down to third after being held to a 1-1 home draw against Elgin City. Steven Black gave the Black and Golds a first-half lead, but Craig Gunn equalised late to deny the home side a win.

East Stirlingshire were demolished 4-0 by Arbroath to remain bottom of the table as Connor Greene was sent off early in the second half and goals from Andy Ryan, Bobby Linn and Martin Grehan gave the visitors a convincing win.

At the Broadwood Stadium, Clyde and Berwick battled out a 1-1 draw, with Sean Higgins opening the scoring for the home side before Blair Henderson equalised for the border club.
