Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has revealed that much-coveted midfielder Christian Eriksen has rejected the chance to extend his contract.
The 20-year-old, whose current deal expires in 2014, is regarded as one of the best young midfield talents in world football.
He has previously expressed a desire to remain in Holland, but Overmars has admitted that the Denmark international will move on at some stage.
"We want Christian to sign a new deal, but he is not interested," Overmars told BT.
"We do have talks planned with him and his agent, so we will have to see what happens in December."
Eriksen has made 20 appearances for his country.
