Ajax captain Siem de Jong insists that he is not thinking about leaving the club this summer.

Ajax captain Siem de Jong has quelled speculation that he could leave the Dutch outfit this summer.

The 24-year-old, who has been capped four times by the Netherlands, is one of a number of players who have been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

"It would be nice if this group stays together. I have spent the whole pre-season here already and I have a good feeling about the group and the staff," he told his club's official website.

"I'm here enjoying myself. I do not see why I should go now. I spoke to the coach yesterday and said that they can count on me."

De Jong has two years remaining on his current deal.
