Three very important points are up for grabs on Sunday afternoon when SBV Excelsior and Sparta Rotterdam lock horns at Van Donge & De Roo Stadion.

The home side head into the clash off the back of five losses in six matches, while their visitors will be aiming to avoid a third consecutive defeat.

Both teams have struggled in front of goal of late, so we expect a low-scoring affair here. Having said that, we are also backing the away side to narrowly come out on top at the end of the 90 minutes.

PSV Eindhoven square off against RKC Waalwijk on Sunday afternoon knowing that only a win will do if they want to keep the pressure on the top three in the Eredivisie standings.

Meanwhile, the home side head into this encounter sitting in eighth position courtesy of two successive victories.

With Waalwijk in free-scoring form of late, they will back themselves to become the latest club to upset PSV this season. However, the visitors should have enough quality in the final third to outclass their hosts, extending their unbeaten league streak in the process.

Ajax play host to NEC on Sunday afternoon looking to record their sixth successive victory in the Eredivisie.

At a time when the defending champions begin the latest matchday three points adrift of top spot, NEC are ninth in the standings after two wins in a row of their own.

Having posted two 3-0 wins in succession, confidence will be oozing out of NEC ahead of the toughest fixture on their schedule. However, there is more chance of the visitors losing by that scoreline this week as Ajax continue to impress under Heitinga.

Cambuur vs. Go Ahead Eagles (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Rock-bottom Cambuur host mid-table Go Ahead Eagles in an Eredivisie meeting between two out-of-sorts sides on Sunday.

Cambuur extended their winless sequence to five games with a 2-1 defeat away to AZ Alkmaar last weekend while Go Ahead were held to a 2-2 draw by Emmen.

Go Ahead endured the misfortune in front of goal which has dogged Cambuur's season when these sides last met at the start of October, spurning numerous chances in a 0-0 draw.

Cambuur's unconvincing defensive resolve does not suggest another clean sheet is in the post, but the relegation-scrapping hosts could battle out a point against the poor travellers this Sunday.
