Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues has said that AC Milan's valuation of Robinho will have to decrease if the club are to sign the playmaker this summer.
The Brazilian was linked with a move back to his homeland in January with the reports resurfacing in the close season, but Rodrigues has claimed that the Italians want too much for the 29-year-old.
It is thought that Milan value Robinho around the €9m (£7.7m) mark, with Santos believing the player's true worth to be closer to €6m (5.1m).
"We have spoken to people who represent Robinho and Milan, and the quoted figures are very high," Rodrigues told Globoesporte.com.
"We spoke on the phone and we are still waiting to hear confirmation on those figures."
Robinho played for Santos for six months in 2010 while on loan from Manchester City.
