Orlando City announce Kaka signing

MLS outfit Orlando City confirm the signing of Brazilian playmaker Kaka, who recently left AC Milan.

Orlando City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian playmaker Kaka.

The 32-year-old, who triggered a release clause with AC Milan earlier this week, will wear the number 10 shirt for his new side.

"@MLS is growing so fast, I want to do my part to help to grow the sport in this country," Kaka said at his official unveiling.

The 2007 Ballon d'Or winner is one of a number of high-profile stars to swap European football for the MLS in recent years.

Orlando will not compete in the MLS until 2015, however, and therefore Kaka will join first club Sao Paulo on loan for the Brasileirao 2014 season.
