Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "I will return to Milan"

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that he will not be leaving the San Siro this summer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from AC Milan this summer.

Rumours had circulated that Manchester City were lining up a bid for the striker, who notched 28 Serie A goals last season.

Roberto Mancini was said to have travelled to Italy and made a personal visit to Antonion Galliani, but both men denied that it was regarding a move for the 30-year-old.

Ibrahimovic has now put the matter to bed while speaking during Sweden's build-up to the Euro 2012 championships.

"At Milan, the problem is the club's economic situation but I will respect my contract," said Ibrahimovic. "I will return to training with Milan in July.

"At the moment the club does not have the means to go out and buy the five players they need. Bakaye Traore and Ricardo [Montolivo] have been brought in thus far, perhaps a third one will arrive.

"The more we play together, the more we will improve. Look at Chelsea, who were not the strongest team but still won [the Champions League]."

Milan took up their option to sign the Swede after loaning him from Barcelona in 2010.
