AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri says that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva are vital players for the club's future following reported interest from Manchester City.

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has attempted to warn off Manchester City by denying that Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Thiago Silva will be leaving the Italian club this summer.

The Serie A side have been vocal about their desire to keep hold of the duo following speculation linking the English champions with moves for the pair.

"They are two champions on which Milan can build its basis for the future," said Allegri.

Man City boss Roberto Mancini has also tried to cool speculation surrounding the club's interest in the Milan players.
