AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has thanked owner Silvio Berlusconi for his 'heroic' decision to keep centre-back Thiago Silva.
The Rossoneri, who were understood to have opened negotiatians after receiving an offer in excess of £36m from Paris Saint-Germain, have now announced that Silva will not leave the club this summer.
"I feel much better now, after president Silvio Berlusconi's decision," Galliani told Azzurra Italia.
"I am also a fan of this club. We have to thank Berlusconi, this was an act of heroism."
Silva arrived at the San Siro from Fluminense in 2009.
