AC Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has admitted that the club need to begin a surge up the Serie A table following a disappointing start to their campaign.
The Rossoneri are currently 10th in the division, but play Lazio at San Siro this evening, and Tassotti has called for the team to starting gathering some momentum.
"At the moment games have extra value for us, as we need to get back to picking up points," Tassotti told Milan Channel.
"Every now and then we lose, as we did against Parma. Lazio have exceptional quality, so we must be careful.
"Up until three days ago we were both on the same level, as Lazio were also coming off a draw in Europe. Now the situations have changed. Lazio have quality, but we need points. Sometimes it is an advantage for us to face a side that will try to take the initiative."
Milan won their last game against Udinese 1-0.
