AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani confirms that a meeting with president Silvio Berlusconi will take place this week to decide on the future of manager Massimiliano Allegri.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has declared that a meeting to decide the future of coach Massimiliano Allegri will take place on Thursday evening.

Allegri lost just one Serie A match as Milan boss in 2013, helping the Rossoneri finish third and secure Champions League qualification.

Despite a strong finish to the campaign Allegri's position looks increasingly precarious, with Milan president Silvio Berlusconi reportedly determined to name former midfielder Clarence Seedorf as the new manager.

With Allegri courted by Roma in recent weeks, Galliani has insisted that the three key men will sit down and decide on Allegri's position by the end of this week.

He told the club's official television channel: "I spoke to the president today.

"He is currently in Sardinia, but he should arrive on Thursday evening and we'll get together to find the best possible solution for Milan."

Allegri has one year left on his contract at the San Siro and is thought to be seriously considering the chance to build a long-term project at Roma following concrete interest from the Giallorossi's American owners.
