Silvio Berlusconi desperate to bring back Carlo Ancelotti

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits that he is keen to persuade Carlo Ancelotti to return to San Siro.

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has admitted that he is desperate to bring Carlo Ancelotti back to the club as soon as possible.

Ancelotti was sacked by Real Madrid last week after failing to deliver success in La Liga or the Champions League in his second season, and Milan have once again made it clear that they want the Italian, who has stated that he will take a year out to have surgery on a problem in his back.

"I hope Carletto comes back to us, we are willing to invest in him. I hope there is a good chance he'll be the next coach of Milan," Berlusconi told Sport Mediaset.

"[Adriano] Galliani and I are not the only ones who want him to come back. All Milan fans I've spoken to want him back."

Current boss Filippo Inzaghi has not yet been sacked by Milan, but he is expected to leave the club after their final Serie A match of the season against Atalanta on Saturday night.
