Aberdeen have scooped Kilmarnock to the loan signing of Birmingham striker Greg Stewart.
Stewart has returned to Pittodrie for a second spell after spending the first half of the season at Rugby Park.
The 28-year-old was recalled by Birmingham this month amid expectations that Blues would seek a fee for the former Dundee player for the final six months of his contract.
But Aberdeen have stolen in ahead of their Ladbrokes Premiership rivals Killie, who were hopeful of taking the versatile forward back.
Stewart netted three goals in 33 games for Aberdeen last season before scoring eight times in 16 games for the Ayrshire side.
