Great Britain's Tonia Couch through to World Championships 10m platform final

Great Britain's Tonia Couch books her place in the World Championships 10m platform final, but teammate Sarah Barrow bows out at the semi-final stage.

Great Britain's Tonia Couch has secured her place in tomorrow's women's 10m platform final at the 16th FINA World Championships, but teammate Sarah Barrow failed to come through the semi-finals.

Couch qualified with the ninth-best score of the preliminaries this morning, and went a little better in the semis with a score of 339.70 for seventh.

Barrow, Couch's partner in the 10m synchro, made it through to the semis in 16th place, but could not post a top-12 score as she totalled 283.10 from her five dives for 18th and last place.

China's Ren Qian posted by far the best score of the semi-finals with a haul of 423.15 - the only woman to break the 400 barrier.
