Scottish duo Grace Reid, James Heatly make British diving history in Plymouth

Scottish duo Grace Reid and James Heatly are the first divers to win the British mixed gender event.

Scottish pair Grace Reid and James Heatly have made history by winning the first ever British mixed gender event at the National Diving Championships in Plymouth.

The teenagers managed to beat English pair Clare Cryan and Ross Haslam in the 3m synchronised final with a score of 267.72.

Their competitors' total of 248.22 was not enough to scoop gold in the event, which was approved by FINA back in November.

The event will also be included in the World Championships later this year.
