Jack Laugher has claimed gold for Team GB in the men's 3m springboard at the World Diving Series in Kazan, Russia.
The 20-year-old, who finished first overall in qualifying earlier in the day, started strongly with scores of 91.80, 99.75 and 88.40 for his first three efforts to put him comfortably ahead of his rivals.
A disappointing score of 68.25 for his next effort, the ambitious forward 2-1/2 with 3 twists, had threatened to cost him the lead, but he shot straight back with a session-topping score of 106.40 for his forward 4-1/2.
Laugher made sure of the victory with a 91.80 for his back 3-1/2 to register an overall total of 546.40, around 30 points clear of the chasing pack.
Home favourite Ilya Zakharov took silver after a close race with Patrick Hausding of Germany, while China's Cao Yuan failed to reach the podium for the first time this season.
Laugher had been due to compete in yesterday's 3m synchro event but was instead forced to watch from the sidelines after partner Chris Mears withdrew for unknown reasons.
