North Korea produced one of the biggest surprises of the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan by beating China to gold in the women's 10m platform final.
China had the two highest-ranked divers in the event in Ren Qian and Si Yajie, but only took one medal from the event.
North Korea's Kim Kuk Hyang posted 397.05 from her six dives and 14-year-old Ren, the last diver, could not score big to snatch the gold.
Si scored low on her final dive and that meant that bronze went to Pandelela Rinong Anak Pamg of Malaysia.
Great Britain's Tonia Couch matched her highest-ever individual finish in a World Championships with eighth place thanks to a score of 340.30.
