The second night of action at the World Grand Prix in Dublin sees high-profile pair James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld exit the tournament in the first round.

James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld have both been knocked out in the first round at the World Grand Prix in Dublin on a night of high drama.

Wade, a two-time winner of the Irish event, looked in complete control of his match against Colin Osbourne before unravelling to suffer a shock defeat.

The 'Machine' had a one-set, two-leg lead but could not stop Osbourne reeling off three successive legs to exit the tournament at the first hurdle.

Van Barneveld also slumped to a surprising 2-0 to defeat to Ian White after missing a series of gilt-edged chances on doubles.

Wes Newton did his best to trump Osbourne for the night's best comeback win by storming back to knock out Ronnie Baxter.

Reigning world champion Adrian Lewis also progressed safely, along with Michael van Gerwen, Andy Hamilton, Steve Beaton and Paul Nicholson.
