Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen safely progress through to the quarter-finals of The Masters tournament in Edinburgh.

Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen both recorded comfortable victories to move through to the quarter-finals of The Masters in Edinburgh.

The sixteen-time world champion reeled off the last four legs to secure a 6-3 win over Terry Jenkins, while the Dutchman averaged in excess of 103 in beating Peter Wright by a 6-2 scoreline.

Adrian Lewis survived a scare to win a last-leg decider against Kim Huybrechts, who missed two match darts and averaged over 106 in defeat.

Raymond van Barneveld produced a clinical display to see off Dave Chisnall, while there were also wins for James Wade, Simon Whitlock, Robert Thornton and Wes Newton.
