Dave Chisnall keen to build on early results

Dave Chisnall reveals that he is confident of defeating James Wade in Liverpool on Thursday night providing that he can continue his early form in the Premier League.

Dave Chisnall believes that his narrow victory over Raymond van Barneveld last week showed that he possesses the all-round game to remain towards the top of the Premier League table.

Chisnall's 7-5 triumph over the defending champion followed his 7-1 thrashing of Peter Wright, and ahead of his third fixture with James Wade, the St Helens thrower is hopeful that he can maintain his early unbeaten record.

The 34-year-old told PDC.tv: "You have to have a good start and four points so far is a good start for me. I ground out the win last week and you've got to do that sometimes, and it should be a good game against James.

"James is playing very well at the moment but I've just got to take my recent game up there and hopefully I can do the business."

Chisnall has only won four of his previous 12 meetings with the world number six.
