Michael van Gerwen recorded a 6-1 triumph over Vincent van der Voort to win Saturday's UK Open qualifier in Wigan.
The world number one was blitzed by Adrian Lewis in the final of Friday's qualifier, but he responded in the best possible fashion during the second of six events.
After beating Michael Barnard, Nick Fulwell and Andy Boulton in the early stages, Van Gerwen edged out Raymond van Barneveld in the last 16 to set up another showdown with Lewis.
However, on this occasion, it was the 25-year-old who prevailed as he registered a 116 average in a 6-1 triumph over Lewis, who averaged a still impressive 109.
A semi-final success over Michael Smith followed before Van Gerwen made light work of Dutch compatriot Van Der Voort in his last contest.
Van der Voort defeated James Wade in the last 16 before overcoming Ricky Evans and Brendan Dolan to reach another Pro Tour final.
