Bradley Wiggins will wear the yellow jersey for a seventh time at the Tour de France tomorrow following his performance during stage 13 of the competition earlier today.

In doing so, the Team Sky rider will break a British record set by Chris Boardman.

Andre Greipel was the victor of the stage, ahead of Peter Sagan and Edvald Boasson in second and third respectively.

Wiggins was always in contention with the leading pack and as a result he still holds a lead of two minutes and five seconds in the overall standings.

His nearest competitor is teammate Chris Froome.
