Pierre Rolland has clinched the 11th stage of the Tour de France following a dramatic day that saw Bradley Wiggins retain the yellow jersey.
The Frenchman ended victorious, despite taking a tumble down the descent of the ride that entered the Alps for the first time, and made it two stage wins in a row for Team Europcar.
Thibaut Pinot came in second, 55 seconds behind his fellow countryman, while Team Sky's Chris Froome was third over the line.
Cadel Evans took second spot overall at the start of the 11th stage but the Australian dropped down the order towards the final stretch.
Wiggins leads the race by two minutes and five seconds with Chris Froome sitting behind his teammate in the standings.
