Great Britain's Emma Pooley has finished in a disappointing 14th place in the women's time trial at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Kristin Armstrong of the United States, the defending champion from 2008 and 2012, made it three in a row as she came out on top yet again.
Armstrong was the oldest competitor in the race but was able to hold off the competition posed by Russian Federation cyclist Olga Zabelinskaya, who eventually finished second.
The Netherlands' Anna van der Breggen took bronze, meanwhile, but there was to be no place on the podium for Pooley on her return to the Olympic track, having come out of retirement to finish well down the standings.
