Bradley Wiggins aiming to ride in Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games

Bradley Wiggins reveals that he wants to ride in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this year, as well as the Vuelta a Espana.

Former Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins has revealed that he wants to compete in this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Team Sky rider has also claimed that he is aiming to ride in the Vuelta a Espana ahead of the World Championships in Sicily.

"It's a nice thing to have within the UK and I haven't got a gold medal from the Commonwealth Games so it would be nice to add that," Wiggins told Cycling News.

"It is on a couple days after the Tour so for the sake of carrying on for a few days [it is worth doing]."

The time-trial takes place on July 31.
