Sir Bradley Wiggins failed in his attempt to break the British 10-mile record this afternoon.
The 35-year-old is aiming to record the longest distance ever in an hour in June and attempted to break the 10-mile feat, currently held by Alex Dowsett.
Cycling on the A63 between North Ferriby and North Cave, Wiggins was 38 seconds off Dowsett's best, clocking a time of 17 minutes 58 seconds.
The former Tour de France champion may try the route again on Wednesday for Team Swift.
