Chris Froome to compete at Saitama Criterium

Tour de France winner Chris Froome announces that he will make an appearance at next month's Saitama Criterium.

Chris Froome has announced that he will end the 2015 season with an appearance at the Saitama Criterium.

Froome, who won the Tour de France for a second time earlier this year, is currently sidelined with a broken navicular sustained during the Vuelta a Espana.

However, the 30-year-old expects to have recovered in time to feature in the Japanese event for the third successive year.

Froome will be joined by teammate Richie Porte, who will be representing Team Sky for the final time before he links up with BMC Racing.
