Charles had a more steady time at the crease by surpassing a half-century before getting bowled out by Nathan Coulter-Nile for 57.
Despite a positive stint for Darren Bravo, the batsman was eventually run out for 32, while Kieron Pollard (26) and Dwayne Bravo (13) also contributed to the run-rate.
Darren Sammy added 20 more runs from seven balls before leaving the field, while Narsingh Deonarine remained unbeaten on six as West Indies closed their innings on 191-6 after 20 overs.
