Sri Lanka set South Africa 268 to win second ODI in Pallekele

Sri Lanka's tail collapses as the hosts set South Africa a victory target of 268 in the second ODI in Pallekele.

Tillakaratne Dilshan's 86 off 90 balls led Sri Lanka to a total of 267 in the second one-day international against South Africa this afternoon.

Opener Dilshan led from the front and was the only Sri Lankan to score over 50 as they were bowled out in the final over in Pallekele.

Dilshan's innings was ended in the 31st over when a delivery from JP Duminy got through his defences and hit the stumps.

It was the middle order that drove Sri Lanka towards their total, with Lahiru Thirimanne (36), Mahela Jayawardene (48), Angelo Mathews (34) and Ashan Priyanjan (25) all contributing decent scores.

The tail-end hardly dented the scoreboard as the hosts lost their last five wickets for 11 runs.

South Africa's top bowler was Ryan McLaren, who took four wickets for 48 runs from his 10 overs.

The Proteas won the first ODI in Colombo on Sunday by 75 runs.
