Adelaide Strikers win by 52 runs over Sydney Thunder in their Big Bash T20 League contest.

Adelaide Strikers have eased past Sydney Thunder in their Big Bash T20 League clash by securing victory by 52 runs.

Thunder won the toss and decided to field but the Strikers started off strongly with a partnership of Michael Klinger and Tim Ludeman, who racked up 60 and 46 runs respectively before getting dismissed at the crease.

Nathan Reardon took the reins and helped tot up Thunder's run-rate by claiming 42 before falling, while Kieron Pollard managed to get 16 runs before leaving the field.

Wickets began to tumble after Theo Doropoulos was caught out for a duck and the Strikers completed their innings on 177-6.

Thunder took to the crease but they were unable to get into full flow with Chris Gayle, who was dismissed for just eight runs.

Scott Coyte managed to rack up Thunder's largest run-rate of 33 but it wasn't enough to challenge their opponents as they were all out for 126.
