Pakistan punish Bangladesh on day two

Mohammad Hafeez hits an unbeaten 137 as Pakistan reach 227-1 at the close of play on day two of the second Test against Bangladesh in Khulna.

Pakistan have powered to 227-1 at stumps on day two of the first Test against Bangladesh in Khulna.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 332 earlier in the day before the tourists reached 84-1 at tea after losing the wicket of Sami Aslam for 20.

However, they went into overdrive during the final session of the day as Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali led the charge with some dynamic batting.

Hafeez ended on 137 not out after facing 179 deliveries, while Ali made 65 not out to frustrate the Bangladeshi bowlers.
