Pakistan continue to build lead over New Zealand

Pakistan reach 471-3 at tea on day two of the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi, thanks to Azhar Ali's knock of 87.

Pakistan have reached 471-3 at tea on the second day of the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi.

Misbah-ul-Haq's side returned after lunch on 347-2, with Azhar Ali and Younis Khan in the middle.

Ali added just 11 runs to his morning total, though, after he was bowled by leg-spinner Ish Sodhi on 87.

Khan kept Pakistan's run rate ticking over at a steady pace. He reached his 50 from 79 balls with a single off Sodhi.

New Zealand toiled in their bid to find a second wicket of the afternoon as Pakistan frustrated them with some patient stroke play.

Khan (65*) and Misbah (44*) will begin the evening session at the crease.
