Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq tied the record for the fastest ever Test century by hitting a ton off just 56 balls on the fourth day of the second Test against Australia.
After making the fastest 50 in the morning session, the batsman continued to pile on the runs in the afternoon alongside Azhar Ali.
The duo both passed the 100 mark midway through the afternoon - Misbah at the same pace as Sir Viv Richards did in 1986 - leaving the hosts to declare at 293-3 for a lead of 602 runs in Abu Dhabi.
David Warner and Chris Rogers saw their opening partnership cut short when the latter edged Zulfiqar Babar to Asad Shafiq.
Glenn Maxwell [four] followed a couple of overs later as Babar continued to get the better of the Australian batsmen.
Warner will resume on 24, while captain Michael Clarke picked up two before the end of the session to leave the tourists on 36-2, trailing by 566 runs.
