Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read has admitted that his partnership with David Hussey was key in their victory over Glamorgan in Saturday's YB40 Final.
Read believes that the contribution, worth 99 runs, helped the Outlaws find some momentum late on in their innings before they went on to record an 87-run triumph.
"I think it was a pretty important partnership," Read told Sky Sports News. "We just lost our way a little bit and needed a bit of momentum.
"It wasn't always easy and it wasn't always pretty but we gave the option to press on towards the end with the guys lower down the order."
Nottinghamshire had previously gone 22 years without winning a limited-overs competition.
