Ireland tie with the Netherlands in their ICC World Cricket League Championship match to claim the point they needed to qualify for the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Ireland have booked their place in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand courtesy of a dramatic tie in their qualifying match with the Netherlands.

Sussex batsman Ed Joyce struck an unbeaten 96, while Leicestershire wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien and Middlesex opener Paul Stirling chipped in with 50 and 49 respectively as Ireland posted 268-5.

The Netherlands had five players dismissed between 35 and 50 during their run chase, which was still in the balance as the match entered the final over.

Michael Rippon struck John Mooney for six over mid-wicket with the last ball to tie the scores, but a point was enough for Ireland to secure qualification via the ICC World Cricket League Championship.

It is the third time in a row that they will compete in the 14-team 50-over tournament, which is comprised of the 10 Test-playing nations and four ICC associate members.
