Yorkshire have announced that Tim Bresnan will make his comeback to action for the first time since January in this week's three-day friendly against Lancashire.
The 28-year-old has been sidelined for the last three months after undergoing surgery on his elbow following his stint with the England squad in their tour of India.
"It has been a while since I played," Bresnan told the club's official website.
"I'm feeling good and looking forward to playing against Lancashire. I have been bowling in the nets and the elbow has responded well.
"I feel I'm getting back to my best. For me it is now playing as much cricket as possible with a view to playing well for Yorkshire and ultimately breaking back into the England team."
The club have also confirmed that Joe Root will start at Headingley tomorrow.
