Pakistan claim Tom Latham wicket after swift start for New Zealand

New Zealand lose Tom Latham after a quick start in their second innings against Pakistan, who trail the second Test in Dubai by 64 runs.

New Zealand have lost opening batsman Tom Latham as they attempt to increase their lead over Pakistan on day four of the second Test in Dubai.

The Black Caps have reached the end of the afternoon session on 54-1 following a strong start at the crease from Brendon McCullum.

New Zealand began their second innings shortly after the lunch interval following the dismissal of Pakistan's batsmen, who finished with a 10-run deficit following an impressive surge from Sarfraz Ahmed (112).

After taking to the crease, McCullum led the attack for New Zealand by storming to 33 runs before losing his partner Latham, who was dismissed by Yasir Shah having hit nine off 35 balls.

The wicket swung momentum in Pakistan's direction as the spinners halted New Zealand's progress, but McCullum was able to reach the break unscathed on 41, while Kane Williamson remains unbeaten on four runs.

The Black Caps lead by 64 runs.
