New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has revealed that his side are happy following day two of the first Test against England at Lord's.

The tourists will start the weekend 79 runs behind on 153-4 after the hosts were bowled out for 232 on Friday.

"We toiled hard yesterday and got the results this morning," Taylor, who made 66 before becoming James Anderson's 300th Test wicket, told BBC Sport. "We would have taken this at the start of the day."

New Zealand will have Kane Williamson (44) and Brendan McCullum (1) at the crease when play resumes on Saturday.
