New Zealand coach Mike Hesson wary of "dangerous" England

New Zealand coach Mike Hesson insists that England are a "dangerous" side and have the ability to trouble his unbeaten co-hosts in their World Cup match at Wellington.

New Zealand coach Mike Hesson has claimed that England have the weapons to pose a threat to his side in their World Cup match.

England were thrashed by Australia in their opening match of the tournament while the Kiwis have consolidated their status as one of the favourites by winning their first two Pool A matches against Sri Lanka and Scotland.

However, Hesson is wary that the co-hosts face a side with the potential to upset them when Eoin Morgan and his charges visit Wellington.

He told reporters on Wednesday: "They're a dangerous side. They've got a lot of quality players.

"Some are in form, some are not so much so. Their seam attack have got good pace and bounce - and they bat pretty deep so they're a dangerous outfit.

"In a World Cup anything is possible, and they've got some very good players. They've got a lot of match-winners with bat and ball and we've had some pretty good battles with them over the last few years. We expect another good one on Friday."

The nations face each other at 1am GMT on Friday.
